Overview
ZimTrade is Zimbabwe’s national trade development and promotion agency with the mandate to facilitate trade between Zimbabwe and international markets. It is responsible for the development of a one-stop hub for all export related information for the benefit of local exporters, and for providing training and capacity building programmes for local producers to strengthen the competitiveness of their products in the global market.
Mandate
- To promote trade between Zimbabwe and the international community;
- To develop new export markets for Zimbabwe;
- To advise the Government on international trade, exports and investment
- Promote, the export of Zimbabwean goods and services,
- Develop ZIMTRADE into a one-stop hub for all export related information;
- Disseminate information on trade protocols and, bilateral trade agreements;
- Represent Zimbabwe’s export sector;.
- Advocate for conducive import and export regulations;
- Promote export-related investment;
- Organise training programmes and capacity building workshops to improve skills and increase export awareness and trade;
- Assist SME’s to access the export market.
