The Directorate is responsible for providing protocol services for diplomatic functions, ceremonies, meetings and conferences. It manages the accreditation and provision of diplomatic privileges and immunities to diplomats accredited to Zimbabwe.
- Provide protocol services to Government officials, foreign investors and other stakeholders;
- Administer the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act
- Coordinate state and official visits.
- Facilitate the presentation of Credentials.
- Provide protocol services to Conferences held in Zimbabwe.
- Facilitate the accreditation of Zimbabwe’s diplomats to foreign Governments and/or international organizations.
- Provide protocol training to focal persons in line Ministries and provincial structures.
