Prof. dr. Amon Murwira, who is serving as H.E. President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s Special Envoy, is in the Dominican Republic as part of Zimbabwe’s diplomatic efforts to garner support for its bid for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
During his visit to Santo Domingo, Prof. Murwira will hold high-level discussions with government officials aimed at fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
Deliberations will focus on further strengthening bilateral relations and advancing shared priorities within the multilateral system, with particular emphasis on the promotion of peace and security, the expansion of trade and tourism, climate resilience, and the deepening of cooperation in education, science, and technology.
As the campaign progresses, visits like these underscore the growing importance of cross-regional partnerships in shaping global governance and diplomacy.
